Step 1: Setting up on IDM
First, open Internet Download Manager
- If you haven't installed it yet, you can visit the homepage and download the latest IDM version and install it on your system here.
On the IDM interface, select the Options icon.

In the General tab, mark the checkbox for Use advanced browser integration. Then, mark the checkbox for Google Chrome and click OK. If IDM's default settings are already selected, skip this step.

Step 2: Access the installation file path of IDM on your computer
Depending on your operating system, you will access the IDM installation folder differently:
Win 32-bit: C:Program FilesInternet Download Manager
Win 64-bit: C:Program Files (x86)Internet Download Manager
Then, locate the file IDMGCExt.crx (or IDMGCExt depending on whether you have file extensions displayed on your system).

Step 3: Open the extensions utility in Chrome browser
In the Chrome browser, enter the URL chrome://extensions/ in the address bar to access the extensions section.

Alternatively, you can select the three-dot icon of Customize and control Google Chrome -> Settings.

Next, in the settings interface, choose the Main Menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top left and select Extensions to open the Chrome extensions window.

Step 4: Integrate IDM into Chrome
At the top right of the Chrome browser, in the Developer mode section, drag the slider to the right to enable this mode.

Next, drag the file IDMGCExt.crx from the IDM installation folder to the Chrome browser's extension window.
