Tips for Adding Participants to Your Google Hangouts Meeting
To perform this trick, you need to update to the latest version of Google Hangouts
How to Add People to a Meeting in Google Hangouts
Step 1:
Step 2: On the next window, you can start typing the email or name of the person you want to add. If you type a name, their contact information must be saved in your Google Contacts. Press Enter after adding each member, then type the next name or email to continue.
Step 3: Once you've completed the list of invited participants, you can click on the Invite button in green to invite all members to join the call. Remember that you can't schedule calls in the classic Hangouts app as this feature is reserved for the paid version of Hangouts Meet for business customers.
Instead of typing each person's name here, you can also click on the Copy Link to Share button to automatically copy the web URL where the call will take place. With the copied URL, you can paste it into your current workflow to notify your meeting participants via text message, Slack message, or email.
If you miss adding a participant, you can also add them to your meeting while the call is ongoing by following these steps:
Step 1: While on the call, hover over the video call window to open the call control menu.
Step 2: Click on the Add Participant option located at the top right of the control menu.
