Step 1: Assume you have a Table needing sequential numbering as shown below:
Step 2: First, highlight the STT (Sequential Number) column excluding the first cell.
Step 3: Go to the Home tab -> Select Numbering -> and choose the format 1 2 3 as depicted in the image below:
You'll have sequential numbers from 1 to n for all the highlighted rows. To adjust the column nicely and make it smaller, you need to drag the column wider, then highlight and adjust using the ruler.
