If you're aiming to broadcast your PS5 gameplay on Discord, there's no direct route for this. However, you can opt for two alternatives: utilizing PS Remote Play or a capture card. Procedures to Follow
Utilizing Remote Play
Download and install the PS Remote Play application for your respective device. Sony's Remote Play application facilitates playing your Playstation 5 on alternative devices, available across Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and more. Obtain and install the suitable Remote Play application from Sony's official website.
- Adhere to the on-screen instructions to execute the Remote Play application installation. The installation file will seamlessly guide you through setup and installation procedures.
Activate your PS5 and select the cogwheel icon (Settings) located on the home screen. This setup is solely required during the initial Remote Play configuration.
Proceed to System > Remote Play > Enable Remote Play. This action permits your PS5 to link with the Remote Play application on your chosen device.
Return to the System menu. To utilize Remote Play while your PS5 is in rest mode, an additional setting must be enabled.
Proceed to Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode. Activate Stay Connected to the Internet and Enable Turning On PS5 from Network.

Exploring Capture Cards

- Capture cards are connected to both your computer and console, resulting in superior playback quality. However, they can be costly, particularly if you're only playing games casually with friends.
Download and install any additional software required for your capture card. Each card comes with its own set of supplementary software, so consult your capture card's manual for specific instructions.
Establish connection between your PS5 and computer through the capture card. Each capture card may vary slightly, so the following steps are general guidelines. Refer to your specific card for more detailed instructions.
- Connect your PS5 to the HDMI In port and your display to the HDMI Out port.
- Plug your computer into the USB Out port of the capture card.
- If necessary, connect your capture card to power using the provided power cable.
- Launch your capture card's capture software or integrate the capture card with your preferred streaming software (such as Xsplit, OBS, etc).
Access the Discord voice chat you wish to stream to. You must be in a voice call on Discord to initiate streaming.
Click on Share Your Screen located at the bottom-left corner. This button is situated above your username and features an icon of a monitor with an arrow.
Select the capture software and click on Go Live. You will start broadcasting your capture software to your Discord call just like any other computer game.
Connecting to Discord Voice Chat
Sync your Discord and PSN accounts. Although direct streaming from your PS5 to Discord isn't feasible, you can sync your Discord and PSN accounts. This allows you to showcase the PS5 game you're playing as your Discord status and engage in Discord voice chat via your PS5.
- Access Discord, proceed to User Settings > Connections > Add, then opt for the Playstation option. Sign in with your PSN credentials and confirm the account connection.
Right-click the Discord voice channel you wish to enter and choose Join on Playstation. Your PS5 will notify you once the connection is established.
- To switch an ongoing call, right-click the voice channel and select Transfer to Playstation.
Use a headset or your controller's built-in microphone for chatting. Keep in mind, you cannot simultaneously participate in a Discord voice chat and a PS5 party voice chat.
