However, if you feel bothered, you can skip this reminder. Refer to Mytour's article below to learn how to skip MacBook shortcut reminders.
How to skip MacBook shortcut reminders?
There are 2 ways to shut down your MacBook, either through the Apple menu or via shortcut keys. Below, Mytour will guide you through the 2 methods to bypass MacBook shortcut reminders.
1. Skip MacBook shortcut reminders via the Apple menu
To shut down your MacBook from the Apple menu, first, open the Apple menu, then press and hold the Option key. While holding the Option key, the ellipses following the Restart and Shut Down options will disappear. Continue holding the Option key, then click Restart or Shut down to restart or shut down your MacBook without displaying any reminders.
2. Skip MacBook shortcut reminders via shortcut keys
To shut down your MacBook via shortcut keys without displaying reminders on the screen, we use the following shortcut:
Command + Option + Control + Eject
The Eject key is located at the top corner, along with other media control keys. However, some MacBook keyboards may not have this key. In this case, we will use the Power button instead of the Eject key, using the shortcut below:
Command + Option + Control + Power
The Power button is used to turn on/off the MacBook.
In case you want to restart your MacBook using shortcut keys but want to skip the reminder, you use the following shortcut:
Control + Command + Eject
If the Eject key is not available on the keyboard, you can use the following shortcut:
Control + Command + Power
On most macOS and MacBook versions, we can use the shortcuts mentioned above. The Option key is quite useful if we want to bypass system prompts, saving time to focus on other tasks.
If the above methods don't work, try pressing and holding the Option key while executing a regular command, and the Command Prompt window will appear on the screen, where we can directly run commands.
