If you own a Nokia Lumia phone or a device running the Windows Phone OS and want to record screen videos, try the Microsoft Project My Screen app. Follow the steps below:
1. Visit the Projection Client page [link] and download the ZIP file at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Extract the ZIP into the 'WinPhoneProjection-master' folder, then extract the contents in the 'MyProjectionClient' subfolder into another folder. 3. Connect your phone to the computer via a microUSB cable, run the 'MyProjectionClient.exe' program. You will see the phone appear when clicking on the 'Device' menu. At this point, a prompt will appear on the Windows Phone asking for permission to record the screen. Press 'Yes' to start recording.
4. If, for some reason, the program does not recognize the phone, disconnect the USB cable, go to the Windows PC Device Manager. Click on View and select 'Show Hidden Device'. In the list of 'Universal Serial Bus Devices,' delete all existing Windows Phone devices, such as 'Nokia Lumia 920 (RM-820))'... If the option 'Delete driver software for this device' is available, the steps have been completed. 5. In the Settings of the phone app, go to the 'project my screen' option, then connect the phone to your computer. Open MyProjectionClient and press 'Yes' on the window that appears on the phone screen to start recording. You can record in 1080p resolution and choose the video format.
