Netflix has made significant strides in the Vietnamese market and offers a Vietnamese language option. If your Netflix account is set to a different language, follow the steps below to switch to Vietnamese for easier use.
1. Changing Language on the Netflix Website
To change the language across the entire Netflix platform, you need to access the Netflix.com website. Currently, you cannot change the language through the mobile app or tablet.
Step 1: Go to the website Netflix.com and log in to your account.
Step 2: On the Who’s watching screen, click the Manage Profiles button.
You can also find Manage Profiles by hovering over the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Now, a pencil icon appears on the profile pictures, click on your profile.
Step 4: In the Language section, choose Vietnamese or any other language you prefer.
Step 5: Press Save.
Step 6: Your language is now set to Vietnamese, click Done.
This change only applies to your profile, other profiles will retain their selected language.
2. Changing Language on the Account Page
Another method to change your Netflix language is by using the account management page. Here, you can quickly adjust the language for your profiles.
Step 1: Hover over your profile icon in the top right corner, select Account from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Scroll down to the Profile & Parental Controls section, expand the profile you want to set the language for.
3. Changing the language of the movie
The language of the movie includes Audio (sound - dialogue) and Subtitles, you can easily change these two factors right on the movie viewing screen. However, the options may not always be sufficient.
Step 1: Open the program, the movie you want to watch.
Step 2: Click on the Subtitles icon at the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Choose the language you prefer in the Audio and Subtitles section.
If you don't mind watching dubbed movies, consider changing the language in the Audio section to one other than the original language. In the example below, the original language is Japanese, but it's dubbed in Vietnamese. Why not give it a try?
