How to Change Your Facebook Phone Number
1. Changing your phone number on a computer
Step 1: Use any web browser, log in to the Facebook account you want to update the phone number for. On the interface displaying that personal Facebook account, click the arrow icon on the Facebook menu bar and select Settings, as shown below.
Step 2: The Facebook account settings interface appears. Here, select the Mobile option on the left column and then click on Add another mobile phone number
Step 3: A confirmation dialog for your phone number appears. Enter your personal phone number you want to change and click Continue to proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Enter the verification code sent to the phone number you just entered earlier and click Accept.
You will receive a notification that your mobile device has been confirmed.
At this point, you can remove your old Facebook phone number by clicking on Remove from your account.
Click on Delete phone to confirm.
2. Changing your Facebook phone number on a mobile device
Step 1: Launch the Facebook app, tap on the three horizontal lines icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
Step 2: The Facebook options interface appears. Scroll down and tap on Settings, then tap on Account Settings in the dialog box that appears immediately after.
Step 3: On the Facebook account settings interface, locate and click on the Text Messaging option.
Step 4: Next, you will see an information table with your old phone number. Click on Add another phone to change your Facebook phone number.
Step 5: Enter your new phone number in the required field and select Continue.
Step 6: At this point, the system will send a confirmation code to your new phone number. Enter this code in the required field and click Accept. You will receive a completion notification for adding the phone number to your Facebook account.
