Guide to Changing Your Mobifone Phone Number at Home
Requirements for Changing Your Mobi Number at Home
- To participate in the home number change service, you must ensure you have registered with Mobifone and opened an account as mentioned above.
- For postpaid subscribers, you need to visit a Mobifone store with your identification card to present the number retention code.
- Your account must have a balance of at least 25,000 VND, and a fee will be deducted after the change is made.
Step 1: To change your Mobi number at home, we need to access the Mobifone page that allows number changes HERE.
Step 2: Proceed to log in with the account you registered using your Mobifone phone number, then enter the Captcha code to confirm.
Step 3: Immediately, you will be redirected to the section for selecting a new phone number. Here, there are 3 main features:
- Select Prefix: Includes Mobifone prefixes currently in circulation.
- Number Type: Choose between regular or VIP numbers. Currently, you can only change to a regular number.
Here at Mytour, for example, we select prefix 098, regular number type, and request to include number 89. Once all conditions are met, click on find number.
- If there are no numbers available, the system will notify you 'No numbers meet your requirements', and then you must select another number.
Step 4: Now we proceed to select again, with an easier prefix 0126, regular number type, and still require to include number 89, then click find number to continue searching according to the conditions.
Step 5: The results display a series of numbers that are currently available for number change. If you choose to change the number, we will proceed to the number change process immediately.
Step 6: If you choose to retain the number, the system will allow you to keep that number for 30 minutes without anyone else selecting it, giving you time to consider your choice. If you agree, proceed to confirm the number change.
Step 7: The next step in the home number change system will verify the account holder's name (which is you) with the pre-registered information and below the new phone number you intend to change to. With this regular number type, you will not incur any fees for the change.
- Scroll down and check the box agreeing to the terms of use, then click continue.
Step 8: A confirmation code from Mobifone will be sent to your phone to confirm the home number change. Simply open the message and copy the code here, then click confirm.
Note: The code is only valid for 10 minutes, after which you must register for home number change with Mobifone again.
After confirming the code, the process of changing your Mobi number at home is complete.
With the option to change Mobi numbers at home, Mobifone subscribers will benefit greatly, especially as you can choose a new number more to your liking without taking up more time. Hopefully, in the future, other network providers will also allow their subscribers to change numbers online as Mobifone has done.
