As known, DVB-T2 is the digital terrestrial television reception standard considered a technology shift from analog to digital. With this technology, the audio and visual experience will become more immersive than ever, especially with high-definition TV models equipped with advanced technologies.
According to the decision of the Prime Minister, from April 1, 2014, TVs with a screen size of 32 inches and above imported into Vietnam must have integrated DVB-T2 digital technical receivers. Understanding this decision, many manufacturers and distributors have proactively chosen TV models supporting the DVB-T2 standard to enter the Vietnamese market.
However, information about DVB-T2 is still relatively new to a significant portion of the Vietnamese population, especially those accustomed to analog television for decades. So, how can you recognize a TV or install devices that support the DVB-T2 broadcasting standard? Explore the article for guidance on checking and installing DVB-T2 support devices below.

If there is a Digital section, it means your TV supports the DVB-T2 standard.
Note 2:
DVB-T2 signals only broadcast terrestrial digital content. Foreign channels are encrypted for commercial purposes. Therefore, if you want to watch international channels like HBO, BBC, etc., you will need to purchase a set-top box or subscribe to cable packages.
*Use a set-top box and antenna on older TV models to access more channels
For older TV models that do not support the DVB-T2 standard, you can still watch digital channels through DVB-T2 digital set-top boxes available in the market, ranging from 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND, depending on the type.
However, regardless of the standard achieved by the set-top box, it will come with an antenna UHF. To access more channels, you need to use outdoor antennas with wide and higher reception capabilities.
The digitization of television is expected to be completed by 2020. Therefore, if you and your family still do not fully understand DVB-T2, quickly gather information about DVB-T2 and update the DVB-T2 channel list, both free and paid, at Mytour.
