1. Manually Clearing Search History on Google Assistant
If you only want to delete specific searches and wish to retain others, opt for the manual method as it's straightforward and offers more options.
Step 1: Visit the Google account management homepage and log in.
Step 2: Then, select Data and personalization (1) and choose Activity on Web and Apps (2).
Step 3: In your Google account activity management section, choose Manage activity.
Step 4: Typically, Google accounts store all activities, and to filter Google Assistant data, you must select Filter by date and product.
Step 5: Choose the Assistant (Google Assistant) section and press Apply to filter searches on Google Assistant.
Step 6: When searches on Google Assistant appear, simply click the Delete icon next to the item title to remove it.
Step 7: After deletion, simply select Understood to close the window and continue deleting other contents.
2. How to Automatically Delete Search History on Google Assistant
If you wish to set up automatic deletion to save time and avoid forgetting after prolonged usage, you only need a few settings on your Google account.
Step 1: In the account activity management section of your Google account, select Auto Delete.
Step 2: Then, choose Automatically delete saved activity older than and set the timeframe you wish to delete.
This means that after a certain period, Google will automatically delete all search data on your Google Assistant, and you won't need to manually intervene or press anything.
Step 3: Upon successful activation of Auto Delete, you will see the Enabled mode appear alongside.
Now, you can confidently use Google Assistant without worrying much about clearing data after searching on the virtual assistant.
3. How to permanently disable search history storage on Google Assistant
If you find search history storage unhelpful, simply disable them permanently to avoid thinking about this issue.
Step 1: In your Google account activity settings, toggle the switch Off under Activity on Web and Apps.
Step 2: Simply scroll through the terms of use and press Pause to complete.
Step 3: Congratulations, you've successfully turned off search history storage on Google Assistant.
