So, to protect your privacy, the solution is to clear your web browsing history right in your browser.

How to Clear Web Search History on Chrome, Firefox
1. For Firefox Browser
Step 1: On the browser toolbar (If you don't see it, press the Alt key), choose History, then select Clear Recent History:

Step 2: The Clear all history dialog appears, choose everything, then select clear now

2. For Chrome Browser
Step 1: Go to Customize and control Google Chrome, then select History

Step 2: Select to erase browsing data as shown in the image:

Step 3: The window to delete browsing data appears, in the section to delete items from, choose 'everything', check the content you want to delete, then select delete browsing data.
