Steps to Connect Sony Soundbar to Your TV Using Optical Cable

Step 1. First, plug one end of the Optical cable into the Optical port on the TV. On the TV, the Optical port is usually labeled DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL). Plug the other end into the Optical port on the Sony soundbar (a port with a square jack).

Step 2. To enable the speaker to receive signals from the TV, you need to activate the Optical input mode on the Sony soundbar by pressing the INPUT button on the remote or directly pressing the button on the speaker.

+ If Press the INPUT button on the remote or the INPUT button on the speaker until the TV indicator light appears.Your home speaker is HT-CT380 model:

+ If your TV is HT-CT380 model: Press the INPUT button on the remote or the button on the side of the speaker until the Optical light on the speaker lights up (changes from orange to blue-white).

Note:
Not all TVs have Optical connection ports. Therefore, make sure that your TV has a connection port labeled OPTICAL or DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL).
