How to connect Android, iPhone to TV
1. Connect Android phone to TV via MHL
If you don't want to hassle with settings, the simplest solution to connect your Android phone or tablet to your TV is to use an MHL cable. Most smart TVs from Samsung, LG, or Sony nowadays have HDMI ports.
To connect your Android device to your TV using an MHL cable, you need a TV with an HDMI port, a phone that supports MHL, and an MHL cable.
The specific steps are as follows:
Step 1: Attach the smaller end of the MHL cable to the charging port of your phone.
Step 2: Attach the HDMI end of the MHL cable to the HDMI port and the USB end to the USB port of the TV.
Step 4: After successful connection, the content displayed on your Android device screen will appear on the TV screen.
2. Connect Android phone to TV via Chromecast

The name of this feature varies depending on the phone manufacturer. On your Android device, you can search for screen mirroring feature with names like Smart View, Miracast, Screen Share, Wireless display, Screencast, Quick connect... Additionally, this feature on smart TVs also has different names, such as Screen Mirroring on Sony TVs or Screen Share on LG TVs.
To wirelessly connect your Android device to the TV via the Screen Mirroring feature, you need a smart TV and a phone that supports this feature, and both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: Press the INPUT or SOURCE button on the TV remote and select Screen Mirroring or Screen Share depending on the model of Smart TV you have.
Step 2: On your Android device, open the quick settings menu and enable the screen mirroring feature with names like Smart View on Samsung phones, HTC Connect on HTC phones, or Mirror Share on Huawei phones. - The TV supports AirPlay.
- The TV and iPhone/iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
The method to enable AirPlay on smart TVs varies slightly depending on the manufacturer:
- Sony TV: Press the SOURCE button on the TV remote, select AirPlay from the Inputs menu. Then, select AirPlay and HomeKit Settings > Switch AirPlay to On.
- Samsung TV: Press the Home button on the TV remote and navigate to Settings > General > Apple AirPlay Settings. Then, select AirPlay and switch the feature to On.
