How to Cook Delicious Ginger Red Tilapia Without the Fishy Taste

Ingredients:
– 1kg red tilapia fish
– 30g spring onions
– Ginger 40g
– Shallots 10g
– Garlic, chili, peppercorns, salt
Instructions:
– After purchasing the red tilapia fish, clean and wash it with vinegar and salt to remove the fishy odor.
– Cleaned fish should be diagonally scored with 3 lines on both sides. Marinate the red tilapia fish with 10g chopped shallots, 10g chopped garlic, 10g chopped ginger, 1 tablespoon fish sauce, 1 teaspoon ground pepper. Rub the seasoning evenly on the outside and inside of the fish, marinate for 15 minutes.
– Prepare a steamer, place a deep plate on top, and arrange half of the ginger and shredded shallots on the plate. Put the red tilapia fish on the plate, scatter the remaining half of the shallots and ginger on top. Alternate with additional shallots for an appealing presentation.
– Prepare a pot of boiling water, place the steamer on top, and cover it to steam the fish for about 20 minutes.
– Once the fish is cooked, transfer it to a plate and enjoy with hot rice or fresh noodles.
