Step 1: Create a new slide or open an existing one. Go to the Design tab, then click on the Format Background menu. Alternatively, right-click on any slide and select Format Background.
Step 2: The Format Background window appears, allowing you to choose from various background fill options, including:
- Solid Fill: Apply a single color.
- Gradient Fill: Apply a gradient color scheme.
- Picture or Texture Fill: Utilize an image as the background.
- Pattern Fill: Use a pattern as the background color.
In this article, we only need to focus on 2 aspects: Solid fill and Gradient fill.
Step 3: To change to a solid background color, click on Solid fill. Then select the desired color under the color section.
You can also adjust the intensity of the color by tweaking the Transparency attribute.
Notice the change in the slide background. You can apply it to all slides by clicking on the Apply to All button.
Step 4: To switch to a gradient color, click on the Gradient fill option. Then choose a color style from the Preset gradients box.
You can modify the gradient transition style under the Type section.
Alternatively, blend multiple colors together under the Color section.
