Guide to Customizing Opera GX Interface
1. Use pre-existing Opera GX backgrounds
Step 1: On the Opera GX browser interface, click on the Settings icon or press the Alt + P shortcut.
Step 2: In the new interface, navigate to the Wallpapers section where you'll find a range of pre-supplied backgrounds for the browser.
Click on the arrow buttons to the right or left to view the wallpapers you wish to use. To set a new wallpaper -> click on the desired wallpaper -> you'll see a tick mark with the letter V displayed, indicating that you've successfully changed it.
Step 3: To view the newly changed interface, simply click on the '+' sign to open a new tab:

2. Using Personal Photos as Opera Backgrounds
To use personal photos or any image on your computer as the Opera GX background, follow one of the following two methods:
Method 1: Using the Add your wallpapers feature in the browser
Step 1: First, you also need to access Settings similarly to in step 1 above -> then navigate to Wallpaper. Here, click on Add your wallpaper.
Step 2: You locate the folder containing the image you want to set as the background on the Opera GX web browser -> click Open to select.
The result is you will see the newly added wallpaper displayed in the Recent wallpapers section as shown in the image below.
Step 3: To check the outcome, open a new tab and you will see the newly set background interface successfully.
Method 2: Opening Images on Opera GX and Setting as Wallpaper
Step 1: You go to the folder containing the image you want to set as the wallpaper -> right-click on the image -> select Open with -> then, choose the browser you want to open, which is Opera GX, to view the image on this web browser.
Step 2: In the image viewing interface on the browser, right-click in the middle of the image -> then choose Use image as wallpaper to change the wallpaper interface for the browser.
Step 3: The result is the image set as the wallpaper for Opera GX, and when you open a new tab, you will see the new interface immediately.
