Google Chrome has long been a staple on desktops, but its mobile version has been undergoing significant updates. Now, not only can you have multiple tabs open, but you can also organize them into groups directly from your phone's browser. This Mytour guide will walk you through using tab view in Chrome on Android.
Steps to Follow
Tap the tab overview icon. Look for the square icon with a number in the upper-right corner next to the address bar. Tap it to see all your open tabs displayed in a grid.
Select the tab you wish to open (if switching tabs). Tabs are shown as thumbnail images of the web page, making it easy to identify the one you want. Alternatively, you can swipe left or right on the address bar to switch between tabs.
Press and hold a tab in grid-view to group it. While a quick tap opens the tab, a longer press allows you to drag and drop its thumbnail to create a tab group.
- If you have multiple tabs open without a group, tap ⋮ > Group tabs and select the tabs to include in a group.
Tap X next to a tab thumbnail to close it. Tapping the X will close the tab, removing it from the grid view.
- In the tab grid view, you can close all tabs by selecting ⋮ > Close all tabs.
