Despite regular usage of Winrar for file compression, users may still be unaware of how to delete the original files immediately after compression.
By default, when files are compressed with Winrar, the original files are preserved, requiring manual deletion after compression. To save time, Winrar offers the option to automatically delete files right after extraction.
You can easily follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Choose the files you want to compress, then right-click and select Add to archive.
Step 2: When the Archive name and parameters dialog box appears, under the General tab, mark the option Delete files after archiving in the Archiving options section. Then press OK to compress.
After compression, the original files will be automatically deleted.
By simply adding a single step in the file compression process, you can automatically delete files immediately after compression with Winrar. You won't waste time deleting the original files after compression. Wish you success!
