
Disabling Enable Editing in Word
Step 1: Open a downloaded Word file, then go to File and select Option.

Step 2: Next, the Word Option window will open, choose Trust Center and then select Trust Center Option and press OK.

Step 3: Then, the Trust Center window will open, go to Protected View and uncheck all 3 options as shown below, then click OK to save the settings.

To re-enable Protected View, follow the same steps as above and re-check all 3 boxes under Protected View.
