If you're looking to avoid extra charges for checking voicemail or dealing with unwanted calls, you can easily turn off your voicemail feature with O2. While it ensures you won't miss any calls, continuously calling to check voicemail can lead to additional expenses. Using the Voicemail Number (Fastest Method)
Launch the Phone app. You'll need to place a call to an automated service, so open your preferred phone app and navigate to the keypad.
Call '1760' and then tap the 'Call' button. Enter 1760 using your phone's keypad, and listen for a confirmation message indicating that your voicemail has been deactivated before the call ends.
Verify that your voicemail has been disabled. Call your phone from another number and check if the voicemail prompts you to leave a message.
- If your voicemail is still active, consider trying the manual disabling methods for Android or iPhone.
- You can easily reactivate your voicemail by redialing 1760.
- If you have or had the TuGo app installed, it might prevent voicemail deactivation. To resolve this, launch the app on your phone (or reinstall it if necessary) and navigate to Settings > Turn off Voicemail.
Disabling Voicemail on iPhone Manually
Launch the Phone app. Access your phone's keypad as you'll need to call a specific number to deactivate voicemail.
Dial '404' and then tap the 'Call' button. Enter 404 on the keypad and wait to see if you receive a message confirming that your voicemail has been successfully disabled before the call disconnects.
Verify that your voicemail has been disabled. Call your phone from another number and check if your voicemail activates.

Disabling Voicemail on Android Manually
Launch the Phone app. Open your phone's application for making calls as you'll need to initiate a call to deactivate voicemail.
Tap ⋮. Locate and tap the ellipsis icon, usually found in the top right corner of the screen while viewing the keypad. If you don't see the keypad, tap Keypad located at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Settings. This option is typically listed as the last item in the menu.
Select Voicemail. Scroll down if necessary to locate this option towards the bottom of the menu.
Tap Visual Voicemail and ensure it's turned off. If it remains active, tap Visual Voicemail to deactivate it.
