Besides its computational capabilities, Excel also offers users tools for creating illustrations effortlessly. In this article, I present to you the method for drawing an equilateral triangle in Excel 2013.
Step 1: Select the Insert -> Shapes -> Flowchart -> Basic Shapes -> Choose the triangle shape.

Step 2: Press and hold the Shift key while moving the mouse to adjust the size. Once the triangle is as desired, release the mouse button.

Basic operations on the triangle shape
1. Resize and rotate.
Select the Format -> Size. A dialog box appears -> change the size in the Width, Height section. Change the rotation angle by entering a number into the Rotation section.

2. Apply background color to the triangle shape
Select the Format -> Shape Fill -> choose the appropriate color.

3. Choose the outline color for the equilateral triangle
Select the Format -> Shape Fill -> choose the suitable color.

4. Add special effects
Select the Format -> Shape Effect -> choose the appropriate effect.

5. Insert Textbox
Select the Format -> Text Box.

Move the mouse to the desired position to insert text.

Select the Format -> Bring Forward or Send Backward.
