Genie garage door openers are renowned for their convenience and user-friendly remotes. However, the process becomes slightly more complex when you need to sync or resync your remote. If you also happen to have a wireless keypad, recalibrating it may be necessary if it's not functioning correctly. Fortunately, resetting either your Genie opener or wireless keypad is a quick task that only requires a few button presses.
Steps
Reprogramming the Opener
Press and hold the square button for 3-5 seconds. Hold down the square “Program Set” button for at least 3 seconds until the circular LED lights up. Once lit, the oblong LED adjacent to the circular one will flash purple.
