1. Step-by-step guide to track chip-embedded national ID progress via Zalo
At this point, Zalo will open a chat window. Locate and select the “Check ID” option at the bottom corner of your phone screen. Enter your name without accents and your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY (for example, if you were born on November 27, 1992, enter 27111992) and then press 'Search.'
In case your chip-embedded national ID is not ready, the system will notify you that your ID is not yet available. Please be patient. If your chip-embedded ID is ready, the app will display a notification with your ID; please contact the relevant authorities (police or post office) to collect your ID.
However, it's important to note that you should check the progress when going through the renewal process. Currently, there are over 50 million chip-embedded ID cards issued to citizens.
