Unlike setting up iPhone restrictions we've discussed previously for enhanced security, enabling or disabling Screen Time on iPhone is an incredibly useful feature to accurately manage phone usage time.
Enabling/Disabling Screen Time on iPhone
Note that enabling Screen Time on iPhone applies only to devices running iOS 11 or later, including iPhone and iPad.
Step 1: From the iPhone home screen, navigate to the Settings app and select the Screen Time option as shown below.
Step 2: Next, to enable Screen Time on iPhone, we'll tap on the Turn On Screen Time option.
You'll need to confirm your intent with this entirely new Screen Time feature upon first use.
Step 3: Then, we'll select This is My iPhone to complete setting up Screen Time on iPhone, immediately accessing a list of usage data for this feature.
- In this example, Mytour.vn wants to limit gaming app usage time. We'll choose App Limits, then sequentially select Add Limit and choose Games as shown below.
Then, tap Add to confirm setting up Screen Time on iPhone.
Step 3: On the screen now, you'll confirm how long gaming app usage time on iPhone will be before being locked. Once you've entered this time, tap the back arrow icon to complete the setup process.
And you'll see the added app usage time setting as shown.
Step 4: To finalize enabling/disabling Screen Time on iPhone, return to the Screen Time feature screen and select Use Screen Time Passcode to set up an app lock password.
If you wish to disable Screen Time on iPhone, select Turn Off Screen Time.

And if you've accidentally forgotten the Screen Time passcode on iPhone that you previously set up and can't unlock this feature, you can refer to the article on recovering iPhone restrictions passcode to quickly resolve this.
