Horizontal and Vertical Ruler in Word
Note: In this article, Mytour uses Word 2016, however, you can apply these steps to activate the Ruler in other versions of Word.
GUIDE TO DISPLAYING RULER IN WORD
If the Ruler bar is hidden, follow the instructions below to display it.
Show horizontal Ruler.
On the Word 2016 interface, go to the View tab and check the Ruler box to display the Ruler.
Show vertical Ruler.
If you've followed the above steps and only the horizontal ruler appears without the vertical ruler, proceed as follows:
Step 1: Click on the File Menu at the top left corner of the Word screen, then select Options (shortcut: press Alt + F, then press T)
Step 2: In Word Options, select Advanced. Scroll down in the right-hand pane, navigate to the Display group, check the box next to Show vertical ruler in Print Layout view, and click OK to complete.
