1. What is Safari's Preview Mode?
The 'Preview' feature on Safari is quite handy, allowing you to preview the content of a webpage before actually opening it. It provides users with the ability to:
- Check if the content of the webpage aligns with the topic you are searching for. When you open the Preview, a small window displays various information about the page as well as a snippet of the article content.
- Save network data usage by avoiding the need to open a new webpage for searching and exiting when it doesn't match what you're looking for. Now, you can simply open a preview window with minimal data usage.
- Enhance search efficiency by allowing you to quickly browse through multiple webpages without the need to open each one individually.
2. How to Enable or Disable Safari Preview
Preview mode is automatically activated on Safari and is set to On by default. To modify these settings, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 2: Next, enter the name of a website or a keyword into Google Chrome to search for related pages.
When you find a relevant page, long-press on the title of the page, and a preview window will instantly appear on the screen.
Step 3: To disable the preview feature, simply select Hide Preview. From now on, when you tap on any page, it will only display links and options.
Step 4: If you want to re-enable the preview feature on Safari, select Tap to Show Preview in the link options window.
