How to Fix Frozen Touchpad on a Laptop
1. Attempt to use the predefined function keys to toggle the Touchpad on and off.
The initial step in addressing a frozen Touchpad is to try toggling it several times using the designated Touchpad shortcut keys. There might be instances where a certain key combination resolves the Touchpad freezing issue or a related process successfully restarts, allowing you to use the shortcut keys to disable and enable the Touchpad.

Step 1: Press the Windows + X combination to open the Power Menu, then select Device Manager, the section for managing device drivers on Windows.
Step 2: Once in Device Manager, choose the Mice and other pointing devices section and upgrade the driver for the Touchpad installed on the laptop.
Step 3: Please wait for a moment as the system checks for the latest version of Touchpad on Windows.
If available, a Downloading driver software notification will appear, and you need to wait for the system to complete the download of the latest Touchpad driver.
Step 4: After installing the new Touchpad Driver, press Close to close the window.
Accompanied by a restart your computer notification, follow the request to complete the resolution of the Touchpad freezing issue.
