Step 1: Select the location in Word where you want to insert the checkmark. Then, go to the Home tab, under Font, choose the Wingdings 2 font.
Step 2: Finally, you type the letter P in uppercase by pressing the Shift + p key combination, and the checkmark you want to insert will appear as shown below:
Method 3: Inserting a Checkmark Using an Image
In this method, you'll insert the 'tick' symbol using an image by searching and downloading it from the Internet.
Step 1: You can search with the keywords 'checkmark' or 'checkmark icon' on Google Images.
Step 2: Google will provide a variety of results for tick images, and your remaining task is to select one. Right-click on the tick image you wish to use and select Copy image.
Step 3: You paste (Ctrl + V) it into Word at your chosen insertion point, and you're good to go. Remember to adjust the image file size to fit your Word document appropriately.
