How to Install Android Apps on Windows 11
Before starting to install and run Android apps on Windows 11, here are some prerequisites:
I. Requirements to Install Android Apps on Windows 11
1. Enroll in the Windows 11 Beta Testing Program
To install and run Android apps on Windows 11, users need to enroll in the Windows 11 Beta testing program. This feature is currently being rolled out in the Windows 11 22000.xxx build for Insider users.
To check the build version you are using, press Windows + R to open the Run window, then type winver into the box and press Enter.
2. Virtualization Support
Ensure your computer supports and has virtualization activated in the BIOS / UEFI.

To check if virtualization is enabled on your computer, press Windows + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. Here, navigate to the Performance tab and verify if the Virtualization value is Enabled.
3. Verify Microsoft Store Version
Another requirement to install Android apps on Windows 11 is to ensure that the Microsoft Store version you're using is 22110.1402.6.0 or later.
To check the current version of Microsoft Store, simply open the app, then click on your profile picture and select App Settings. The app version information will be displayed at the bottom.
Additionally, to update to the latest Microsoft Store version, click on the Get Updates button in the Library section.
4. Set Region to United States
As mentioned by Mytour in previous articles, Microsoft is currently rolling out the feature to run Android apps on Windows 11 for users in the United States. Therefore, to install Android apps for Windows 11, you'll need to change your region settings to the United States.
To do this, first open Settings, then navigate to Time & language => Language & region => Country or region and select United States from the menu.
5. Have an Amazon AppStore Account in the United States
The final requirement is to ensure you have an Amazon AppStore account in the United States. The list of Android apps that can run on Windows 11 currently is quite limited, with about 50 apps, including Kindle, Khan Academy Kids, and United Airlines, ... .
II. How to Install Android Apps on Windows 11
Step 1: To begin, first locate and download the Windows Subsystem for Android app from the Microsoft Store.

Step 2: If your computer meets the requirements, you'll see an Install button on the screen. Click on this button and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Windows Subsystem for Android.
Note: If you've previously installed WSA and uninstalled it, you'll see a Get button on the screen.
Step 3: Once the installation process is complete, the Windows Subsystem for Android interface will look like the following:
Step 4: In this step, your task is to install the Amazon App Store app.

Similarly, if your computer meets the requirements, you'll see an Install button below the app name on the screen.
Step 5: After installing the app, proceed to log in to your Amazon AppStore account. Note that it must be a US Amazon AppStore account to access the app store.
Step 6: After logging into Amazon AppStore, you'll have access to the available Android apps in the store.
Step 7: Select any Android app you want to install and run on Windows 11, then click on the Get button.
Step 8: Click on the Download button to confirm.
Similar to other Windows apps, you can access and open installed Android apps on Windows 11 through the Start Menu or Search box.
Basically, when you open an Android app, it will run within Windows Subsystem for Android. This process may take a few seconds.
