However, there's a notable downside to this app; if you turn off your phone screen, the playing music will also stop. To listen to music, you're compelled to keep your phone screen continuously lit, a practice that leads to rapid device heating and substantial battery drain.
Nevertheless, there is a simple solution to address this issue, a straightforward method that requires no additional app installations.
2. Implementation Guide
Instead of using the Youtube app as usual, this method involves utilizing Google Chrome or Safari (for iPhone users).
Step 1: Open the web browser on your phone (Google Chrome or Safari).
Step 2: Visit the Youtube website: https://www.youtube.com
Step 3: Choose the song you want to listen to.
Step 4: Click the Share button (square icon with an upward-pointing arrow).
Step 5: Select the Request Desktop Site option (desktop monitor icon). This will transform the Youtube interface on the web browser to resemble the desktop version.
Step 6: Turn off your phone screen; at this point, the app will automatically pause the music. However, you'll still have a button to resume playback.
Step 7: Turn your phone screen back on, select Play to resume the music. Now, you can turn off your phone screen again and continue enjoying your favorite tunes.
To turn it off, simply swipe down, and the music will immediately pause.
