- Fresh squid: 1kg
- Butter: 1 small box
- Tempura flour, cornstarch, crispy frying flour
- Chicken eggs: about 2 eggs
- Cooking oil
- Lettuce and some bell peppers
- Chopped onions, minced garlic
Note: It's recommended to use leaf squid, select large, plump ones with firm bodies, pressing on the body should feel firm not soft, the flesh should be bright white with a brown layer evenly around the outside for the best quality.
How to Make Butter Fried Squid:
Step 1: Prepare the squid
- When buying squid, remove the gut, quill, beak, and ink sac, then rinse thoroughly. You can buy pre-cleaned squid or ask the seller to clean it for you.
- Wash the squid with diluted saltwater, then drain and use a knife to make diagonal cuts on the squid's body.
- Cut into small pieces about 3 cm in size, then marinate with finely chopped onions, minced garlic, seasoning powder, and pepper for 15 minutes.
Note: Avoid cutting the squid too small as it will shrink during frying.
