Step 1: In the Messages or Groups section on Zalo, click on the '+' icon at the top right corner (Figure 7) (Note: If you're in the Contacts section of Zalo, then click on the icon of a person with a plus sign at the top right corner). Then, click on 'Scan QR code' (Figure 8).
Step 2: You request the person you want to add as a friend to send their personal Zalo QR code, you hold your phone up to scan it (Figure 9). After Zalo finishes scanning, it will find the person's profile. Now, click on Add friend (Figure 10).
Method 4: Find and add Zalo friends using the Nearby feature
The Nearby feature allows you to add friends within approximately a 1km radius, depending on the set preferences and age range. Zalo will show you suitable Zalo users around you.
Step 1: Accessing Zalo will show up like Figure 11. Then, in the search box, type 'Find nearby' (Figure 12).
Step 2: Click on 'Find nearby' (Figure 13). Then, when Zalo switches to another interface, click on 'Interested' (Figure 14).
Step 3: You continue to click on 'Start now' after Zalo switches interfaces (Figure 15). Then, click on 'Allow access' (Figure 16).
Step 4: Now, Zalo will display a list of friends near you, within a range of about 1km. You find the person you want to add and click on them (Figure 17). Then, click on 'Add friend' (Figure 18). Now, you just wait for them to accept your friend request.
