Ingredients for making shaking beef
- Beef: 300g - 500g (Choose sirloin or tenderloin, with a vibrant red color for a tender texture)
- Onions: 1 medium-sized bulb
- Green and red bell peppers: 1 each
- Cherry tomatoes: 5 ripe ones, halved
- Crushed dried garlic, ground black pepper
- Oyster sauce, Maggi soy sauce
- Sugar, sea salt, black pepper, fresh herbs
- Red wine: 1 tablespoon (optional)
How to make shaking beef:
Step 1: Rinse the cherry tomatoes, cut the bell peppers, and dice the onions into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2: Cut the beef into square pieces, marinate in oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic for about 30 minutes for even seasoning.
While waiting for the meat to marinate, prepare the accompanying French fries. Peel and cut the potatoes into thin slices, soak in salted water, parboil, drain, and deep-fry until golden and crispy.
Step 3: Heat a pan, add cooking oil, sauté garlic until fragrant, add the beef, stir-fry for about 2 minutes until the beef is medium rare. Optionally, add a tablespoon of red wine, stir for a few more minutes, then transfer to a bowl.

Step 4: Add another tablespoon of cooking oil to the pan, stir-fry the beef, add tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, season with spices, and pour in a little water. Continue cooking until everything is well blended. (You can pre-mix some oyster sauce, Maggi soy sauce, sugar, and water to add if you like more sauce.)

Serve the beef on a plate, hot, with crispy French fries and bread or white rice – all delicious!
