How to set edit permissions for cells and regions in Google Sheets
Step 1: Open any spreadsheet using Google Sheets.
Step 2: Click on the Tools tab, select Protect sheet
Step 3: In the Protected ranges and sheets window, select the Range tab, click on the grid to choose the data range
Step 4: Proceed to select the data range needing permissions set. You can choose individual data cells or select any data range by dragging. After selection, click Ok.
Step 5: Click on Set permissions
Step 6: From here, you can assign permissions to members currently editing the data. Untick those you don't want to edit the data. Additionally, you can also add editors by entering their email addresses.
In the permissions list, if you select Only you, the data area will only be granted editing permissions to you.
After completing, click Done.
How to set edit permissions for a sheet in Google Sheets
Step 1: Follow the same steps as above, in the Protect sheet section, select the Sheet tab
Step 2: Choose the sheet you want to assign permissions to, then click Set permissions
Step 3: Assigning permissions is done similarly to protecting cells and data ranges in Google Sheets
Managing established permissions
Step 1: Click on the Tools tab, select Protect sheet
Step 2: Click to select the permission you want to edit.
Step 3: In the permission details, you can delete or edit permissions as desired. After editing, click Done.
