The Live Photo feature on iPhone allows you to capture a photo with motion. Afterwards, you can review each moment to select the best frame for your final image. This feature is extremely useful when you want to capture memories.
In addition, a new feature introduced in iOS 13 allows users to combine multiple Live Photos into a video. This method is much better and more convenient than before when you had to use third-party apps.
Capturing Live Photos on iOS
Firstly, Mytour introduces how to capture Live Photos on your iOS device (in case you're unfamiliar), then we'll explore creating videos from multiple Live Photos.
- Open the Camera app on your iPhone.
- At the top of the screen, you'll see a button with nested circles, this is the Live Photo feature. When activated, it will turn yellow.
- Press the Shutter Button as usual to capture the moment.
After capturing a photo with Live feature enabled, view the photo in the Photos app.
- Open the Photos app and select the photo you just captured.
- You'll see the Live label on the left side of the screen, simply long-press the photo and it will animate for a few seconds.
You can also use it as wallpaper or share it with friends like regular photos.
Merge Live Photos into a video
After capturing some Live photos, you might want to merge them into a video for easier management. To do so:
- Open the folder containing all your Live photos. In the Photos app, switch to the Albums tab and open Live Photos.
- Tap on “Select” at the top right corner.
- Select the Live photos you want to merge into a video, the selected photos will have a green checkmark icon next to them.
- Click on the Share button at the bottom left corner.
- Finally, select “Save as Video”.
After this step, the Live photos you've chosen will be merged into a video that you can find in the Video section of the Photos app.
