Only Administrators can edit privacy settings for the groups they manage. When changing privacy settings, you must also adhere to Facebook's guidelines, such as the time interval required before making another change, and certain groups reaching a specific member count may not successfully change their privacy settings to public.

How to Modify Group Privacy Settings on Facebook
Step 1: On the Facebook app, navigate to the group you manage. Then, select the badge icon with a star inside ->Group Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Group Information -> Select Privacy Settings. You'll find 2 options here:
+ Public: Even non-members can view the content of posts shared here.
+ Private: Only members who have joined the group can view the content within.
Note:
+ You can only change the group privacy settings once every 28 days. After reaching 5,000 members, you won't be able to successfully change the group privacy settings to public.
+ After switching from public to private, you won't be able to switch the group privacy settings back to public for 24 hours.
When keeping the group private, if you don't want anyone to find your group except for members already in the group, you can select Hide group -> Check the Hide box to activate this feature.
