Enhance your gaming experience by connecting controllers to your PC. This guide will show you how to pair a Razer controller with your Windows 7 or higher PC via Bluetooth or using a wired connection.
Steps
Connecting Wirelessly
Activate PC Bluetooth mode by toggling the switch on the back of the controller (if available). The switch typically has a blue background (on the Razer Raiju Ultimate) and is centrally located at the back of the controller.
- Depending on your Razer controller model, the switch might be elsewhere. Consult the Razer's user manual for specific details. Some Razer controllers may lack Bluetooth functionality and only support USB connections.
- If you're using the Razer controller for the first time or its battery is low, it's advisable to establish a wired connection. A red light indicates low battery on your controller.
Press the PS button to power on the controller. The controller should illuminate to indicate it's powered on.
Hold down both the PS
and Options buttons for at least 5 seconds. Once the status light changes from slow to rapid blinking, your controller enters pairing mode and you can release the buttons.
Access Settings on your computer. Locate the gear icon for Settings in the Start Menu (either click the Start Menu icon on your taskbar or press ⊞ Win).
Click on Devices. This should be the first option in the second column.
Click on Add Bluetooth or other devices. This option will be on the right side of the window; it's the first clickable choice. As your computer scans, discoverable devices will appear in the list.
Tap the Razer controller to turn it on. If it's not visible in the list, try turning off the Razer controller and putting it back into pairing mode.
Click Done. You'll receive a confirmation window indicating a successful connection to the Razer controller.
Install the necessary drivers. You should receive a prompt to install drivers for your Razer controller. If not, you can manually download the drivers from the Razer support website.
Connecting via USB Cable
Switch the controller to USB mode by toggling the switch on the back (if available). The switch, typically with a blue background (on the Razer Raiju Ultimate), is located centrally at the back of the controller.
- Depending on your Razer controller model, the switch may be located elsewhere. Consult the Razer's user manual for details.
- If it's your first time using the Razer controller, it's recommended to use a wired connection.
Insert the micro-USB connector into your controller. If you've misplaced the cord that came with your Razer, you can easily purchase a replacement with a micro-USB connector from any retail or electronics store.
- The micro-USB port is located at the top center of your controller.
Attach the other end of the USB cable to your computer. Look for rectangular USB ports on the front of your desktop tower, along the sides of your laptop, or at the back of an all-in-one PC.
Download the necessary drivers. Device Manager should prompt you to download the required drivers for your Razer controller. If not, you can visit the Razer support site to obtain the correct drivers.
