Sending a self-addressed stamped envelope (S.A.S.E) is straightforward. You'll require two envelopes, stamps, and a writing tool. Ensure you have the correct address for where you're sending your S.A.S.E. Once you've sent your envelope, check your mailbox regularly to see if your response has arrived!
Instructions
Preparing the Initial Envelope

Choose an Envelope. Select an envelope large enough to accommodate whatever the recipient will be sending back to you.
- For instance, if you're sending out an S.A.S.E to receive a free CD from your favorite band, opt for an envelope that can hold a CD.

Pen down your address at the center of the envelope. Write your full name on the top line, followed by your address below it.

Attach a stamp to the upper right corner of the envelope. This stamp will cover the recipient's postage for returning the envelope to you. If you're sending your S.A.S.E to a different country, ensure you include the appropriate stamps. Consult your local post office via phone or online if you're uncertain about which stamps to use.

Keep the first envelope unsealed. You want the recipient to be able to insert your items and send it back to you!
Dispatching Your S.A.S.E

Acquire a larger second envelope than the first one. You'll place the first envelope inside the second one for mailing.

Pen down the recipient's address at the center of the envelope. This is where your S.A.S.E will be directed. Write the recipient's name on the top line, followed by their address below it.
- If you're sending this to a business, include the contact person's name, their title, the company name, then the address, city, state, and zip code.

Write your address on the top left corner of the envelope. This is the return address where the post office will send your S.A.S.E back if it gets lost or delivered to the wrong address. Include your first and last name, followed by your address.

Place a stamp in the top right corner of the envelope. Ensure the stamp covers the postage for sending your S.A.S.E wherever it needs to go. If you're sending your S.A.S.E to a different country, you might need special stamps. Consult someone at your local post office or visit their website if you're unsure about the stamps you need.

Secure the first envelope inside the second envelope. Insert the first envelope into the second one, seal the second envelope, and you're all set to mail your S.A.S.E!

Deposit your S.A.S.E in a mailbox or take it to the post office. No need to worry about payment, as you've already taken care of that when purchasing the stamps. Now, all you have to do is wait for a response. Remember to check the mail daily!
