Access Your Document in Word
Crop Your Image with Precision
Access the Format Tab
Select Compress Pictures
Check the Box Next to 'Delete Cropped Areas of Pictures.' Ensuring this is checked prevents the image from reverting to its original settings.
Click OK
Save Your Document. To save, go to File > Save or press Ctrl+S (Windows) or ⌘ Cmd+S (Mac).
Helpful Hints
- If you prefer to save the cropped image in a different format than the original picture, opt for Save As under the File tab.
