Whenever we travel, staying in touch with loved ones back in Vietnam is crucial. Here are two simple ways to do so:
- To buy a SIM in Vietnam, you can visit specialized stores offering 4G SIMs for international travelers or seek assistance from tour guides. The cost ranges from 180,000 to 230,000 VND. However, these SIMs are primarily for internet access, Zalo, and Facebook, with no option for calling Vietnam or other countries.
- Purchasing in Dubai: You can buy a Dubai SIM upon arrival at the airport, but it involves queuing for some time and completing passport photocopying and SIM registration procedures.
- International Roaming: If you need to use your own SIM card abroad, visit stores of your SIM card provider. For instance, if you use Viettel, you can go to Viettel stores nationwide for international roaming support. Successful roaming activation will incur charges of 23,000 VND to 28,000 VND per minute, debited from the account of the roaming user.
