If you've ever studied technical fields like construction, design... you're probably familiar with the .dwg file - the file extension of AutoCAD software. To read DWG files, traditionally, we need AutoCAD software. However, what if AutoCAD isn't installed on our computer?

In this article, Mytour will guide you on how to open DWG files online using two websites: Online DXF and DWG Viewer and Autodesk Viewer Online.
1. Online DXF and DWG Viewer
You can access the website at:
https://gallery.proficad.eu/tools/AutoCAD-Viewer.aspx
Step 1: After accessing the above address, click on Select a DWG or DXF document and choose the .dwg file from your computer.

Step 2: Once the DWG file is successfully loaded, you can choose to convert the DWG file to a PDF (1) or click on the image (2) to view the entire image in the DWG file with a large size.

- Disadvantages: Since it merges all image files in the DWG into one, the image appears disorganized and visually confusing for viewers.
2. Autodesk Viewer Online
You can access it at the following address:
Step 1: After accessing the website of Autodesk Viewer Online, proceed to log in to your account by clicking on Sign in. If you don't have an account yet, you can click on Sign up for free next to the Sign in button. After successfully logging in, click on Get started viewing to switch to another interface.

Step 2: In this step, we upload the DWG file. Click on Upload new file and then click Drag & Drop to upload the file.

Step 3: Next, click on No more files to proceed with uploading the DWG file. The uploading process may take a while, so please be patient.

And finally, the result is that the DWG file can now be viewed without the need for software.

- Advantages: The website interface offers many customizations for users such as zooming into specific areas, taking screenshots, or supporting printing with a printer.
- Disadvantages: Requires account registration, and the uploading process takes a bit long.
Through this article, hopefully, you can view DWG files in case your computer doesn't have AutoCAD software installed. Another significant disadvantage of viewing online is the issue with Vietnamese font. However, for better and more professional DWG file handling, it's recommended to install AutoCAD on your computer for better reading and processing of files. Wish you success!
