Recover Deleted Messenger Messages on iPhone
To retrieve deleted Messenger messages on iPhone, follow these steps within the Facebook app.
Step 1: In the Facebook app's interface, tap on the 3-line icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. In the new window, scroll down and select Settings & Privacy.
Step 2: Additional categories will appear, tap on Settings and select the Download Your Information feature.
Step 3: In the Request a Copy tab, unselect all and only mark the Messages option. Then scroll to the bottom of the screen and press Create File to initiate Facebook's message backup process.
Step 4: The system will prompt you to wait for a few minutes to complete the backup process. Once finished, tap on the Available Files tab and select Download.
Note: iOS's default Safari browser does not support downloading folders. You should install Firefox on your phone to download the file through the link below.

Step 5: Exit Facebook and open the Files app - iOS's default data manager. Tap on On My iPhone.
Step 6: Continue to select the Firefox folder to navigate to the location where the downloaded files are stored. Tap on Preview Content to review the backed-up messages or images.
