How to Remove Arrow Icons from Windows 10 App Shortcuts
Method 1: Using Windows Registry
Step 1: Access Windows Registry on Windows 10 by pressing Start Menu > typing regedit or regedit.exe and clicking on the search result afterward.
Alternatively, you can also press the Windows key + R > type regedit and press OK or Enter to open. After pressing, by default, the system will ask if you want to open it, you press Yes to confirm.
Step 2: In Windows Registry, you navigate to the following path;

Step 3: Right-click on the Explorer folder, select New > Key to create a new Registry key.
Rename the new Key by right-clicking on the Key > Rename and name it Shell Icons > press Enter to save.
Step 4: In the interface on the right-hand side of the Shell Icon key, right-click and select New > String Value. A new access value appears named New Value #1. You rename this value to 29.
Step 5: Double-click on the value 29 to open the value string editing window. In the Value Data box, enter the following command:
%windir%System32shell32.dll,-50
Press OK to set and save the changes.
After setting the new value, the arrow icon on application shortcuts in Windows 10 will disappear immediately.
Note that the arrow icon will only appear and disappear on the shortcuts of applications on the screen.
Method 2: Using third-party software
