As usual, you turn on your computer and start browsing, but unlike any other day, your web browser's homepage has changed, and additional toolbar items have appeared unexpectedly. Your first thought might be to uninstall and reinstall the browser. However, resetting the browser is a more effective solution without the need for a complete reinstall.
Resetting browsers to their default state can help you achieve this.
1. Firefox Browser
To begin, open the Firefox browser. On the browser toolbar, select Help -> Troubleshooting Information
Next, a browser window will appear; choose Reset Firefox
Congratulations! You have successfully restored the Firefox browser to its original default state
2. Internet Explorer Browser
To start, launch Internet Explorer. Click on the gear icon and select Internet Options
Now, a window will appear; choose the Advanced tab. Then, click Reset. Check Delete personal settings and select Reset.
That's it! Simply restart Windows to complete the process
3. Chrome Browser
In the Chrome browser, open Settings and then select Reset Browse Settings
A dialog box will appear, and you'll see the reset button. Now, simply choose Reset to complete the process
