
This solution is applicable to Android TV.
1. Restoring Sony Android TV to Factory Settings

IMPORTANT:
This solution applies to Android TV. For non-Android BRAVIA TVs, please refer to: How to Restore TV to Factory Settings.
Note that if you proceed with the factory reset, all TV data and settings (Wi-Fi and wired network settings, Google account and other login information, Google Play and other installed apps, etc.) will be erased, and the TV will return to the state it was in when purchased.
First, try Power Initialization if you haven't done so. Power restarting the TV does not affect TV settings.
NOTE:
The factory reset process may take a few minutes. Please wait until you receive a notification that the process is complete.
After the successful completion of the Factory Reset process, the TV will continue to the Initial Setup utility. You will need to agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Reactivate the Touchpad sequence after the factory reset.
Select the state of the TV below. The operation process varies depending on the TV's state.
If the Home Screen can be displayed
If the Home Screen cannot be displayed (HOME button on the remote control is not working)
If the Home Screen can be displayed
Note: The display screen may vary depending on the TV model or operating system version.
- Turn on the TV.
- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select Settings.
- Select Storage & Reset.

- Select Factory Data Reset (Restore Factory Settings).

- Select Erase Everything (Delete All).
NOTE: If prompted for a password, enter the password for Child Lock (Television).
- Select Yes.
If the Home Screen cannot be displayed (HOME button on the remote control is not working)
If there is feedback when you press the HELP button on the remote control, follow the procedure below.
NOTE: The display screen may vary depending on the TV model or operating system version.
- Turn on the TV.
- Press the HELP button on the remote control.
- Select Help Guide in How to Use Your TV.
- Select Settings.



- Select Storage & Reset in the TV category.
- Choose Factory Data Reset.
- Choose Erase Everything.
NOTE:
If prompted for a password, enter the password for Child Lock (Television).
- Choose Yes.
