Restoring your TI-84 calculator will erase all data and programs from the device and revert it to its original factory settings. Many instructors and teachers will ask you to restore your TI-84 before exams to prevent access to saved formulas and information.
Instructions

Back up your TI-84 to a computer if you wish to preserve any data or programs. This will enable you to retrieve any saved information later after resetting your TI-84.
- Go to the official Texas Instruments website at https://education.ti.com/en/us/products/computer_software/connectivity-software/ti-connect-software/tabs/overview#!.
- Choose to download TI Connect to your Windows or Mac computer, then follow the prompts to install the software.
- Connect your TI-84 to your computer using a USB cable, then launch TI Connect.
- Select “Backup,” and follow the instructions on the screen to back up your calculator. Later, reconnect the calculator to your computer and select “Restore” in TI Connect to reload all programs and data.

Press the “2nd” button, then press “MEM.” The “MEM” button is the second function of the + key on your calculator. This will access the Memory menu.

Choose “7: Reset.” This action will bring up the Reset menu.

Press the right arrow button twice until you reach “1: All Memory.”

Opt for “2: Reset.” Your TI-84 calculator will clear all data, programs, and apps from the device. Upon completion, the screen will show “RAM Cleared.” Your TI-84 will now be reset to its original factory settings.
