Hair Dyeing
Safeguard your skin and clothes from dye stains by wearing disposable gloves and an old T-shirt.
Before applying your original hair color, prepare the filler dye according to the instructions provided. Use a plastic bowl and a hair dye applicator brush for mixing.
To ensure even coverage, divide your hair into 4 sections. Brush it out completely and secure each section with clips.
Take down one section of hair and apply dye from the roots down using an applicator brush. Ensure thorough saturation for consistent color.
After applying dye, clip up the dyed section and release another. Continue applying dye section by section, ensuring full saturation.
Follow dye instructions and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Avoid touching hair during this time. Consider covering hair with a plastic bag to prevent staining furniture.
Rinse hair with cool water to help dye adhere. Continue rinsing until water runs clear. Note that hair may not be natural color yet due to filler dye.
Avoid heat tools like hair dryers after dyeing. Towel dry and let your hair air dry to recover before the next dye session.
After filling your hair, dye it with your natural hair color. Apply dye evenly, following instructions, and rinse with cool water. Expect to re-dye every few months due to bleaching effects.
Hair Care Tips
Shampooing strips natural oils and fades color. Wash every other day or less to preserve color. Wait 24 hours post-dye to wash. Continue caring for bleached hair to prevent dryness and damage.
Use color-safe shampoo and conditioner to prevent color stripping. Look for sulfate and silicone-free formulas. Concentrate shampoo on the scalp to avoid drying out ends unnecessarily.
Apply a deep conditioner or hair mask once a week to deeply moisturize and hydrate your hair. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes in the shower for best results. Consider using a leave-in conditioner for all-day hydration.
Avoid using heat styling tools like hair dryers, straighteners, and curlers, especially on bleached hair, to prevent damage. Opt for heat-free styling methods whenever possible. When using heat tools, use the lowest setting and apply a heat protectant beforehand.
