Contacts are crucial components of any phone, keeping you connected with all your friends, family members, and colleagues. It can be a hassle if one day you switch phones or reset your device without backing up. This leads to losing all your data and spending time recovering each contact.

Fortunately, with iOS, all your contacts are backed up on iCloud and can be easily restored anytime.
Steps to Restore Your Contacts
Once you've ensured your contacts are backed up, follow these steps to restore them.
- Open a web browser on your tablet or PC, go to iCloud.com. Enter your Apple ID and password, then click the arrow button to log in.

- If prompted for verification, open your phone, press Allow, and get the verification code from there.

- On the main iCloud page, click on the Account Settings line.

- Click Restore Contacts at the bottom of the page.

- Here you will see backups of your contacts in the past, select Restore next to the backup you want. The restoration process will take a few minutes to complete.

Note that if your contacts have never been backed up, you won't be able to restore them.
Check if contacts are backed up or not
- Return to the main iCloud page, select Contacts.

- Here, if you see a list of all the contacts you have on your iOS device, it means your contacts are being automatically backed up to iCloud and can be easily restored.

How to Backup Contacts
- If your contacts haven't been backed up, open your phone, go to Settings, and tap on your Apple ID at the top of the list.

- Press to open iCloud settings >> Turn on the switch in the Contacts section.

From then on, any changes to your contacts in the future will be backed up. However, the contacts you lost previously cannot be recovered.
