Occasionally, your Wi-Fi password might be too long or complicated to remember, making it difficult to share with others. With the following simple trick, you can easily view the Wi-Fi passwords saved on your Android device.

Typically, rooting your device is required to view saved Wi-Fi passwords. However, some newer phone models like Xiaomi, Huawei, etc., support Wi-Fi sharing via QR code. You can utilize this feature to find the saved Wi-Fi passwords on your Android device. Here's how:
Step 1: Prepare an Android phone that supports Wi-Fi password sharing. In this article, I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 running Android 9.
Navigate to Settings (1) => Wi-Fi (2).

Step 2: Tap on the connected Wi-Fi network (1) and the QR code containing the Wi-Fi network information (2) will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Use another Android phone or iPhone and utilize the QR code scanning feature within the Zalo chat application. Download Zalo for your phone here:
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/vn/app/zalo/id579523206
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zing.zalo&hl=vi
After downloading and logging into the app, tap on the Add (1) option at the bottom right corner of the screen => select the QR Code icon (2). After scanning the Wi-Fi QR code, the password will be notified as shown below. Pay attention to the circled section (3) in the image below, which appears as: P:abcdxyz (abcdxyz is the shared network password).

With the guide to view saved Wi-Fi passwords on Android phones in the article, hopefully, this little trick will assist you in some urgent situations when you forget the Wi-Fi password. The drawback of this method is that it only supports a few phone models but with the advantage of not requiring rooting. Wish you success!
